Bigg Boss 20: Mary Kom Says ‘I Stay Quiet, But You Can’t Take Credit for My Journey’

September 8, 2026

Mumbai: Six-time world boxing champion MC Mary Kom opened up about people who claim credit for her success in a recent episode of Bigg Boss 20, saying her achievements are the result of her own hard work, discipline and sacrifices.

Known as ‘Magnificent Mary’, the boxing champion said several people claim that they “made Mary” despite never experiencing the struggles she went through inside and outside the boxing ring.

Mary Kom hits back at credit-takers

Mary said those who claim credit for another person’s struggles often overlook the injuries, training and sacrifices involved in achieving success.

“A lot of people feel they made Mary, but they were never the ones who entered the ring, took the injuries, or went through the training. To claim credit for someone else’s struggle is shameless,” she said.

She further stressed that her achievements came from her own dedication and perseverance.

“Whatever I have achieved has come from my hard work, dedication and the sacrifices I have made along the way,” Mary added.

‘Silence is not weakness’

During the conversation, Rohed also pointed out how silence is often misunderstood in today’s world.

He said people sometimes assume they can control someone simply because that person chooses to remain quiet. However, silence can also reflect patience and inner strength.
