BJP issued by ‘Missing person’ poster targeting Tejashwi Yadav

Patna: The Bihar unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday stirred controversy by releasing a poster targeting Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, triggering a fresh political row in the state.

‘Missing person’ poster targets Tejashwi

Titled “Search for the Missing Person,” the poster was shared by the BJP on social media and mocks Tejashwi Yadav over his prolonged absence from Patna and the Bihar Assembly. It features his photograph along with sarcastic captions claiming he was “last seen running away, hiding his face from the media.”

The poster further lists his details in a derisive manner, mentioning his name, alleged educational qualification and stating that he was last seen avoiding the media.

Absence from Assembly in focus

According to sources, Tejashwi Yadav left Patna for Delhi on the evening of December 2 and has not returned since. Reports suggest he is currently on a foreign vacation in Europe with his wife and children and is likely to return only after the New Year.

He has remained absent since the second day of the first session of the 18th Bihar Legislative Assembly held from December 1 to December 5. While he attended the oath-taking ceremony and the Speaker’s election, he skipped the Governor’s address on the third day and left for Delhi thereafter.

BJP sharpens attack after poll defeat

The BJP has used Tejashwi Yadav’s absence to intensify its attack, accusing the Leader of the Opposition of evading responsibility at a critical time. Party leaders have also pointed out that he has largely stayed away from the media since the Bihar Assembly election results.

In the recently concluded elections, the RJD was reduced to 25 seats, while the NDA secured a massive majority to form the government. The BJP claims Tejashwi Yadav’s silence and absence reflect his unease with the electoral verdict.
