In a significant political development in Punjab, senior BJP leader Anil Kumar Sethi from Fazilka joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally inducted him into the party during an event.

The joining is being seen as another boost for the ruling Aam Aadmi Party ahead of upcoming political activities in the state.

CM Bhagwant Mann Welcomes Leader

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann welcomed Anil Kumar Sethi into the AAP family and said that more people are getting influenced by the policies and governance model of the party. Party leaders stated that AAP continues to expand its base across Punjab with leaders from different political backgrounds joining the organisation.

AAP also extended a warm welcome to Sethi and expressed confidence that his experience would strengthen the party further in the Fazilka region.

 Focus on Strengthening Party Base

Political observers believe that such developments indicate changing political equations in Punjab. The induction of experienced leaders from other parties is expected to help AAP strengthen its organisational network at the grassroots level.

The party leadership has repeatedly claimed that its policies related to education, healthcare, electricity, and governance are attracting support from people across the state.
