BJP leaders to gherao Punjab CM’s residence, Read to know why

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is staging a protest outside Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s residence. Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar and Working President Ashwani Sharma, along with other leaders, are participating.

Workers and senior leaders will gather at the state office in Sector 37, from where a protest march will be held. Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar announced the protest.

Sunil Jakhar had also written a letter to the DGP demanding an investigation into the matter. Giving details, BJP spokesperson Pritpal Singh Baliwal said that the law and order situation in Punjab is in a dire state, murders are happening openly, and they will question the Chief Minister regarding accountability for the gangster rule. They will also question Bhagwant Singh Mann about the viral audio of the SSP and the desecration of Guru Sahib.

Jakhar’s letter to the DGP
Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party state president Sunil Jakhar has written a letter to the DGP of Punjab Police demanding an immediate forensic investigation into the viral video of CM Bhagwant Mann. The BJP says that this video, which has gone viral on social media, has hurt religious sentiments and affected public harmony in the state.

In the letter, Jakhar wrote that the viral video allegedly shows objectionable conduct by the Chief Minister towards the sacred image of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The BJP said that it is necessary for the truth of this matter to come out because it is related to religion and the Chief Minister of the state.

Why the demand for a forensic investigation?
BJP state president Sunil Jakhar said that if the video is found to be authentic in the forensic investigation, then it is completely inappropriate conduct for a person holding a high constitutional post, and such a person should not have the right to remain in the Chief Minister’s position.
