The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its manifesto for the urban local body elections on Wednesday during a ceremony held in Panchkula. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including CM Nayab Saini, various ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), and party functionaries.
A separate manifesto has also been released specifically for the Ambala Municipal Corporation. This document outlines numerous promises, such as the construction of ‘Pink Toilets,’ new Municipal Corporation offices, and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 people in Sector-10. It also includes a pledge to address Ambala’s most pressing issues: waterlogging and flood prevention.
However, most of these promises were also featured in the BJP’s previous manifesto—promises that remain unfulfilled. Furthermore, the BJP had made similar pledges, such as those regarding flood relief, during the previous Assembly elections as well.
