Washington, April 4: Hollywood actress Blake Lively has broken her silence after a major legal setback in her ongoing lawsuit against Justin Baldoni. Despite the court dismissing several of her claims, the actress has confirmed that she will continue pursuing the case.
A U.S. federal judge recently dismissed 10 out of 13 claims filed by Lively, including allegations of sexual harassment, defamation and conspiracy. The ruling significantly narrowed the scope of the lawsuit, with the court citing legal technicalities such as her status as an independent contractor.
Reacting to the decision, Lively stated that the “core” of her case remains intact, particularly her claims of retaliation. She emphasized her commitment to seeking justice and standing up against alleged misconduct, adding that she will not back down from the legal fight.
The dispute stems from the filming of the movie “It Ends With Us,” where Lively accused Baldoni of inappropriate conduct and a smear campaign affecting her reputation. Baldoni has denied all allegations and his legal team has welcomed the court’s decision. While several claims have been dismissed, key aspects such as retaliation and breach of contract will proceed to trial, which is scheduled to begin on May 18, 2026. The case continues to draw widespread attention across Hollywood.
