Blake Lively Attends Met Gala Hours After Settling ‘It Ends With Us’ Lawsuit

Washington: Actor Blake Lively made a striking appearance at the Met Gala just hours after settling a legal dispute related to her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni. The lawsuit, which had been ongoing since late 2024, was resolved shortly before it was set to go to trial in Manhattan.

Lively arrived on the red carpet in a pastel-toned gown featuring peach, purple, and yellow hues, along with a bejewelled bodice and flowing train. Her look drew attention for its elegance and reminded fans of her Statue of Liberty-inspired outfit from the 2022 Met Gala.

The settlement officially ended Lively’s retaliation lawsuit against Baldoni, his production company, and a PR firm. A joint statement from legal representatives said the film It Ends With Us remains a source of pride and expressed hope for closure and a respectful environment moving forward.

The statement also acknowledged that concerns raised by Lively deserved to be heard and emphasized support for constructive resolution.

Her Met Gala appearance also comes amid the release of her film Another Simple Favour (2025), now streaming on Prime Video. Notably, her husband Ryan Reynolds did not attend the event, although actor Hugh Jackman was present with Sutton Foster.
