Blow to drug trafficking and illegal arms: Five arrested along with 1.5 Kg heroin, 7 weapons

Taking a major action against drugs and illegal weapons in Punjab, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has exposed a multi-level narcotics and arms smuggling network. The police have arrested five accused in this case, who are said to be associated with the notorious gangster Gopi. This information was shared by Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav.

According to DGP Gaurav Yadav, Surinder Singh Kamboj, in charge of the CIA staff of Jalandhar City Police and his team have recovered a total of 1.5 kg of heroin and seven illegal weapons from the possession of the accused. This action has given a big blow to drug and arms smugglers and has stopped the supply of drugs and the spread of illegal weapons in the area.

DGP said – The accused were working for gangster Gopi

DGP Yadav said – The arrested accused were active in the drug and arms supply network for a long time and were working on the instructions of gangster Gopi. At present, the police is interrogating them, so that more people associated with this network can be identified and arrested.

DGP Gaurav Yadav said that Punjab Police is committed to eradicating drug abuse and making the state safe. He made it clear that no person involved in such illegal activities will be spared and strict action will continue against them.
