Body of a youth found from Gill Canal in Ludhiana; was missing for two days after family dispute

The body of a young man has been found in the Shimlapuri area near Gill Canal in Ludhiana. The deceased has been identified as Amritpal (30), son of Daljit Singh, resident of village Threeke. He was living in the Aryan Enclave, Ludhiana. According to the information received, Amritpal jumped into the canal about two days ago, after which his search was on.

According to the information, Amritpal had a family dispute earlier. After this, he went out of the house and did not return till late night. In the morning, the local people saw the body in the Gill Canal near Shimlapuri and informed the police. The police reached the spot, took out the body and sent it for a postmortem.

The cause of death will be clear after the postmortem report comes

According to the information received, he was under mental stress after the family dispute. Police say that the matter is being investigated, and the cause of death will be confirmed only after the postmortem report comes. There is a wave of mourning in the village and the family after this incident.

At present, the police have taken the body into possession and informed the family members. After which, he also reached the spot. When a passerby saw the dead body, the police was informed. The police reached the spot and called divers and somehow the body was taken out.
