Bomb threats to Jind and Bhiwani courts: Police, bomb squad on spot

Panic erupted at the district court on Friday after a bomb threat was received. Upon receiving the threat, the police and administration went on high alert. As a precautionary measure, the court premises were evacuated, and public access was restricted.

Following the information, the police, bomb disposal squad, dog squad, and forensic team arrived at the scene. A thorough search of the entire court complex was conducted. During the search operation, which lasted for several hours, no suspicious object or explosive device was found.

According to police officials, an investigation is underway to determine the medium through which the threat was received. Technical evidence is being collected regarding the threat, which may have been delivered via call, email, or another digital platform. The cyber cell has also been involved in the investigation.

During the incident, there was an atmosphere of panic among the lawyers, staff, and litigants present in the court premises. Judicial work was also affected for some time due to security reasons. The police said that the matter is being taken seriously, and the person who issued the threat will be identified and arrested soon. Currently, security at the court premises has been increased, and every activity is being monitored.

Chaos at Bhiwani District Court Complex
Chaos erupted at the Bhiwani District Court complex this morning when the Superintendent of Police was informed about a bomb threat received via email by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM). After receiving the threat around 11:30 AM on Thursday morning, the police administration immediately went on high alert and launched a large-scale search operation.

Under the leadership of DSP Anup Kumar, both CIA teams, Civil Lines police, the bomb disposal squad, and the dog squad conducted a thorough search of the district court complex. Following this, the District Bar Association Conference Hall and the advocate chambers were also searched. Intensive checking of people entering and exiting was carried out at all the entry and exit gates of the court, while those present in the premises were safely evacuated.

During the search operation, which lasted for more than an hour, the police did not find any suspicious object, bomb, or explosive material. DSP Anup Kumar said that an investigation is underway to determine whether the threat is a hoax or genuine. We are further strengthening security arrangements through search operations. The cyber cell is actively working to trace the email.
