    Bomb Threats to Schools in Jalandhar and Chandigarh, students evacuated

    Schools and government buildings in Chandigarh and Jalandhar have received bomb threats. This threat came via email and the administration,police took action and conducted search operations everywhere. Additionally, as a precaution, fire brigade vehicles were also deployed.

    Threat to AAP leaders

    The email also threatened to bomb Punjab’s CM Bhagwant Mann, DGP Gaurav Yadav, Haryana’s CM Naib Singh Saini, and senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal.

    Apart from this, there are threats to destroy the court complex in Firozpur and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue in Amritsar.

    Today, schools in Jalandhar were not closed. Children and staff remained in schools, and police are carrying out their actions. Searches are being conducted with bomb squads and dog squads.

    Police officials said that the source of the email is being traced and the cyber cell is also involved in the investigation. Meanwhile, CM Mann said that we are serious.

    Wrote these things in a threatening email in Jalandhar

    The threat email reads, “There will be a bomb blast in schools in Jalandhar. Save your children. Punjab will now become Khalistan. For the body, start me, stop the people. Bombs and grenades will attack; bombs will explode in schools at 1.11 and 2.11 pm in the mayor’s office.

    The email further reads, “Not against Khalistan children. We will destroy the Modi government of India. Khalistan votes or by bombs. CM Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal will also be hit in the bomb or grenade attack. On April 14, a bomb blast will destroy the statue of Dr. Ambedkar in Amritsar.

    The sender of the email has written the address of the Khalistan National Army. Below it is the names of Engineer Gurnak Singh, Rukanshah Wala, Dr. Gurnir Baer Singh and Khan Rajada.

    The same things were said in the email received in Chandigarh.

    The email in Chandigarh reads, “Chandigarh will become Khalistan. Deh Siva Bar Mohe Start and Jana-Gana Mana Stop. There will be a bomb blast in schools at 1:11 a.m. There will be a blast at 2:11 pm in the mayor’s office and a blast at 3:11 pm in the Secretariat. Save your children.

    “Khalistan people will not be against children; India will destroy the Modi government. Khalistan votes or by bombs. In Chandigarh, Bhagwant Mann, DGP Yadav and CM Saini will be targeted. People of Chandigarh, bomb blasts and grenade attacks will continue here until Mann, Yadav and Saini die. There will be a grenade attack at Chandigarh University Gandhi Bhavan at 9:11 pm tonight.

    4 Schools in Chandigarh Receive Threat

    Schools located in Sector-41, Sector-32, Sector-47, and Sector-45 in Chandigarh received this threatening email. Following this, police teams evacuated the school premises and started the investigation. Bomb squad and dog squad teams have also reached the spot and are engaged in the investigation.

    Search of Schools and Surrounding Areas

    Police are conducting a search drive inside the schools and in the surrounding areas as well. Every suspicious item is being monitored to prevent any potential danger.

    Threats Have Been Received Before

    It is noted that earlier as well, several private and government schools, the district court, the high court, and the passport office in Chandigarh have received threats of being blown up with bombs. However, during each investigation, no suspicious items or explosives were recovered.

    Police Investigating the Email

    Currently, the police are working to trace the source of the threatening email. With the help of the cyber cell, efforts are being made to find out from where the email was sent and who the people involved behind it are.

    SHO Satinder of Chandigarh Police Station Sector-34 said that checking has been done. Nothing of any sort was found. There is no need for people to panic in any way. We have taken a printout of the email. He also said there is no need to be afraid in any way.
