Bombay HC rejects Anita Advani’s plea on Rajesh Khanna marriage

Mumbai: Bombay High Court has dismissed actress Anita Advani’s plea seeking legal recognition of her alleged marriage with late superstar Rajesh Khanna.

The court upheld the earlier decision of the Dindoshi sessions court, bringing an end to a long-standing legal dispute that began after Khanna’s death in 2012.

Arguments and family involvement
The bench led by Justice Sharmila Deshmukh heard arguments from both sides, including those representing Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna and Dimple Kapadia.

Anita Advani had claimed she shared a long relationship with Rajesh Khanna, describing it as similar to a marriage, and alleged she was evicted from his bungalow after his demise.

Rajesh Khanna’s legacy
Rajesh Khanna remains one of Hindi cinema’s biggest stars, known for delivering 15 consecutive solo hits and acting in over 160 films. He was also a former Member of Parliament and received several honours, including the Padma Bhushan posthumously.
