15-year-old boy arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan in Pathankot

Police in Pathankot have arrested a 15-year-old boy on charges of spying for Pakistan. The boy is originally from Samba in Jammu and Kashmir. He was in touch with Pakistani intelligence agency ISI as well as Pakistani army and Pakistani terrorist organizations.

Investigation also revealed that his phone was hacked by Pakistani agencies, who directly accessed spy data from his mobile. Videos of sensitive places were recovered from his mobile. Police also suspect that he was also providing live security location to Pakistani agencies through mobile hacking.

Police investigation revealed that his father had died. The boy suspected that his father had been murdered. Due to this, he became active on various social media platforms and later started spying.

Police recovered videos and chats recorded for spying purposes from his mobile. The boy had been spying for about a year. He had also taken admission in class 9. A case has been registered against him, and an investigation is underway.

What does Pathankot SSP said?

Pathankot SSP Daljinder Singh Dhillon said, “The police had received confidential information that a minor was in touch with a frontal terrorist organization of Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI. He was providing them with important information related to national security. This minor was in touch with the Pakistani army, ISI officials and persons associated with the terrorist module. Based on this, the minor was arrested during a blockade at bridge number 4 in Sujanpur constituency on Sunday.”
