Boy Killed While Meeting Girl; Violence Erupts in Two Villages, 10+ Houses Burnt, Many Injured

There was a ruckus on Sunday night in Tamtia village and Bassi Ada village of Banswara district. In the disturbance that led to the murder of a young man, the people of one village set fire to more than 10 houses and vehicles of another village.

The villagers stopped the police from going to the village when they reached the spot. According to sources, stones have been thrown at the police. According to the police, the young man who was murdered had come to meet the girl.

The girl’s family slit the young man’s neck with an axe. After this, the villagers attacked each other.

According to the police, the young man who was murdered was from Bassi Ada village. At 8 pm on Sunday night, he went to Tamtia village with friends. While meeting a girl, he was caught by some villagers.

First, he was assaulted, then the boy’s family killed him. The young man’s friends informed the young man’s family about this. Angered by the murder, the boy’s family and villagers attacked in Tamtia village.

Houses and vehicles were burnt, stones were also pelted

The people from the boy’s side set fire to more than 10 houses at around 9 pm. The mob also set fire to the bikes parked outside the houses. Many people in the village were also beaten and injured.

Angry with the incident, the people of Tamtia village attacked Bassi Ada village at around 11 pm. There has also been a lot of vandalism and beating.

Police did not get entry into the village, stopped the vehicles

The police team that arrived on the information was also pelted with stones. Additional police force was called from the district headquarters to control the situation. SP Sudhir Joshi also reached the spot.

According to information, the people of Tamtia village did not even allow the fire brigade vehicles to go inside. The Superintendent of Police and administrative officers remained present at the site until late at night. Currently, there is peace at the site, and a heavy police force is deployed.
