Brick Kiln Chimney Collapse: Tripura Govt Sanctions ₹25.16 Lakh Ex Gratia

Kamalpur: The Tripura government has announced an ex-gratia amount of ₹25.16 lakh to the families of the workers killed in the brick kiln chimney collapse incident. The accident occurred on Wednesday in Kamalpur, Dhalai district, North Tripura, killing five workers and injuring three others.

Chief Minister expresses condolences, assures relief
Chief Minister Manik Saha informed that the Dhalai district administration has approved relief funds for the families affected by the incident at the Aparashakar Brick Factory, Nakful (Kamalpur). The families of the deceased will receive ₹4 lakh per family, while the seriously and moderately injured will receive financial assistance from the SDRF fund.

Rescue Operation and Response
Following the incident, teams from the Fire and Emergency Services and the SDRF, along with local residents, retrieved the bodies and rushed the injured to the hospital. Two injured were referred to GB Pant Medical College, Agartala, for better treatment. Police have arrested brick kiln owner Souvik Paul and manager Amit Deb. Leaders expressed condolences for the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
