BSF Neutralises Two Pakistani Intruders in Punjab’s Tarn Taran District

Tarn Taran (Punjab): The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday neutralised two Pakistani intruders who were allegedly attempting to enter Indian territory by crossing the International Border in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district, officials said.

According to officials, BSF personnel deployed along the India-Pakistan border noticed suspicious movement in the area around noon.

BSF Personnel Open Fire After Warnings

The troops challenged the suspected intruders and repeatedly warned them to stop, officials said.

However, the two men allegedly ignored the warnings and continued moving towards the Indian side. The BSF personnel subsequently opened fire after sensing a threat, according to officials.

Both intruders were killed in the firing, officials said.

The identities of the deceased have not yet been established. Officials said further proceedings are being carried out in coordination with the Punjab Police and the BSF.

    Bodies Sent for Post-Mortem

The bodies of the deceased have been handed over to the police for post-mortem examination.

Further investigation is underway to establish their identities and determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged infiltration attempt.

Officials also said a meeting between the BSF and Pakistan Rangers is expected to be held soon in connection with the incident.
