Punjab politics and the music industry are currently witnessing a heated exchange of words between Bikram Singh Majithia and singer-music director Bunty Bains. The two are exchanging accusations on social media.

Majithia makes serious allegations
The controversy began when Bikram Singh Majithia posted on social media claiming that some people were preparing to flee the country following the ED’s action and the arrest of Minister Sanjeev Arora. He named individuals close to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and alleged that some had already fled abroad and others were attempting to abscond.
Majithia also named Bunty Bains and demanded the issuance of a Lookout Circular (LOC) against him.
Bunty Bains’s Strong Response
Bunty Bains hit back at these allegations by sharing a lengthy post on Instagram. He said that Majithia should “think a thousand times” before naming him. Describing himself as an artist who has worked hard in the industry for two decades, Bains said that he has not relied on controversy or cheap popularity.
He said that respectable people do not run away and those making false allegations should first present evidence.
Warning to respond through songs
In his post, Bunty Bains also stated that he would respond to Majithia through his songs in the future. He alleged that some people push young people onto the wrong path and then try to portray themselves as clean.
Bains said that true strength lies not in social media noise, but in respect, legacy, and contributions to society.
