Bus conductor murdered in Bathinda, two suspects seen on CCTV

A private bus conductor was attacked and killed with a sharp-edged weapon behind the Bathinda bus stand. The deceased has been identified as Baljinder Singh, a resident of Chughe Kalan. After receiving information about the incident, Kotwali police arrived at the scene on Monday morning and began an investigation.

Conductor found injured behind the bus stand

Bus driver Iqbal Singh stated that Baljinder Singh was a conductor on his bus. Around 7:30 pm on Sunday, they parked the bus at the bus stand and both left for their respective villages. About 15 minutes later, he received a call reporting Baljinder lying injured near a ditch behind the bus stand.

Iqbal Singh and his colleagues arrived at the scene and immediately rushed Baljinder to the Civil Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead.

Two suspects seen on CCTV

According to the driver, two suspects are visible in footage from nearby CCTV cameras. It is alleged that the two men attacked Baljinder Singh with a sharp-edged weapon and fled the scene after the incident.

Police Launch Investigation

Police have registered a murder case against the unknown assailants. Footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being examined to identify and apprehend the suspects.

Kotwali Police Station in-charge Yadvinder Singh stated that the police are investigating the matter seriously. CCTV footage is being thoroughly examined, and efforts are underway to identify the accused.
