Buy only BIS certified gold
When buying gold, always check the hallmark label of BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards). There is a 6-digit hallmark code on gold, which is called Hallmark Unique Identification Number (HUID). It is an alpha-numeric code (for example: AZ4524). Through this, you can know how many carats the gold is.
