Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 29 are down and 1 is up. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 48 are down and 3 are up. Among the NSE sectoral indices, PSU Bank is trading with the highest decline of 2.94%.
Mixed trading in Asian markets
In the Asian market, Japan’s Nikkei is down by 1.25% and Korea’s Kospi is up by 1.54%. At the same time, China’s Shanghai Composite Index is trading with a decline of 0.15%.
The IPO of Quadrant Future Tech Limited and Capital Infra Trust Invit will open tomorrow i.e. on January 7. Investors will be able to bid for it till January 9. The stock will be listed on BSE-NSE on January 14.
According to NSE data, on January 3, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹4,227.25 crore. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) also bought shares worth ₹820.60 crore.
On January 3, America’s Dow Jones closed at 42,732 with a gain of 0.80%. The S&P 500 index closed at 5,942 with a gain of 1.26% and the Nasdaq closed at 19,621, up 1.77%.
Standard Glass Lining Technology’s IPO will open today
Standard Glass Lining Technology Private Limited’s Initial Public Offer i.e. IPO will open today. Investors will be able to bid for it till January 8. On January 13, the company’s shares will be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The market closed with a decline on Friday
Earlier on Friday, January 3, the Sensex closed at 79,223 with a decline of 720 points. Nifty also fell by 183 points, it closed at 24,004. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 fell and 10 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 32 fell and 18 rose.
In the NSE sectoral index, the IT sector closed with the highest decline of 1.41%. At the same time, banking, pharma, healthcare and financial services closed with a decline of more than 1%. Whereas, Nifty Oil and Gas rose by 1.26% and the media sector rose by 1.70%.
