Khalistani outfit SFJ announces siege of Indian Consulate in Vancouver, shares poster

Vancouver: Protests by hardline khalistani supporters against India have once again erupted in Canada. It is being reported that Sikhs for Justice, organisation supporting Khalisatn has threatened to take over the Indian Consulate. In addition, Indians have been warned not to visit the area. However, neither the Indian nor the Canadian government has made any official comment on the matter.

According to media reports, the group has asked people planning to visit the consulate on Thursday to choose a different date. Sikhs for Justice has also released a poster depicting the new Indian High Commissioner to Canada, Dinesh Patnaik, in which his face has been painted with a target symbol. Allegations are being made that a spy network is being run through the Indian Consulate.

The group alleges that the consulate is conducting targeted surveillance against Khalistanis. According to media reports, it is being said that two years ago, on September 18, 2023, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told Parliament that an investigation into the role of Indian agents in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar was underway. It added, “Two years have passed, and the Indian Consulate is operating a spy network to target Khalistani referendum campaigners.

Khalisatni Extremist groups received financial aid 

A report released last week claimed that at least two Khalistani extremist groups received financial support from within Canada. The report, titled “2025 Assessment of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Risk in Canada,” identified the Khalistani extremist groups receiving financial support from within Canada as Babbar Khalsa International and the International Sikh Youth Federation.
