Car Crashes into Divider in Fazilka; 3 Injured

An accident involving a family traveling by car occurred last night while they were descending the Fazilka-Ferozepur flyover. The driver was momentarily blinded by the headlights of an oncoming vehicle, causing the car to veer onto the central divider. Three of the five occupants in the car sustained injuries in the accident.er.

Meanwhile, family member Dharamvir Singh recounted that as soon as they began descending the flyover, the glare from the headlights of an oncoming vehicle blinded the driver, rendering him unable to see anything. The accident occurred during this moment of impaired visibility.

Fortunately, the vehicle’s airbags deployed. Among the injured, an elderly female family member suffered a fractured shoulder, a child sustained an injury to the leg, and a young man suffered a cut to his lip.

No Reflectors Near the Divider

He alleged that, firstly, the divider near the flyover has been constructed improperly; furthermore, there are absolutely no reflectors installed along the divider. He added that, thankfully, they survived the ordeal; otherwise, the accident could have resulted in a tragic loss of life.

The Injured Are Undergoing Treatment

Hoshiar Singh stated that he is a resident of Heera Wali village. His relatives from Rajasthan had traveled to Amritsar for a sightseeing trip in a car. While on their return journey, the car veered onto the central divider as it descended the Fazilka flyover. Three people sustained injuries in this accident and are currently undergoing medical treatment.
