3 Youths Killed in Car–Scooter Collision; Vehicles Plunge 40 Feet After Breaking Railing

In Udaipur, a head-on collision occurred between an Innova Crysta and a scooter. Three young men riding the scooter died, while two people in the car are injured.

Both vehicles went about 40 feet down, breaking the bridge railing. The accident happened in the Pratapnagar police station area late Sunday night.

Pratapnagar police station officer Puran Singh Rajpurohit said – The collision was so powerful that the scooter was shattered. The youths did not even get a chance to recover.

Young men were returning after finishing wedding work

Pratapnagar police officer Puran Singh Rajpurohit stated that all three young men riding the scooter worked in catering. They were returning from Pratapnagar towards Madari around 1:30 AM on Sunday night after completing a wedding ceremony.

During this, the scooter collided with an Innova car coming from Eklingpura chowk towards Pratapnagar.
The collision was so severe that the scooter got trapped under the car. Both vehicles fell off the bridge, uprooting the railing. Hearing the loud crash, local people reached the spot and informed the police.

People in the car were returning from a wedding ceremony

The police stated that the people in the car were also returning from a wedding ceremony. The deceased include Arjun Singh (40) and Saurabh (30). The identity of the third deceased has not been established.

Arjun is a catering contractor. Saurabh is the son of Arjun’s paternal aunt. Both used to work together.

Arjun was originally from Dewas, Madhya Pradesh. Currently, he was living in Sector-7, Hiran Magri, Udaipur. Saurabh was from Bhopal (MP).

Yogesh Bhat (25) and Shivam (19), who were also in the car, are injured. Both are residents of Modri, Pratapnagar (Udaipur). They are undergoing treatment at MB Hospital.

Pratapnagar Station Officer Puran Singh Rajpurohit stated that preliminary investigation indicates the car was moving at an extremely high speed. The police have kept all three bodies in the mortuary of MB Hospital.

I could not save my brother

Arjun’s elder brother Makhan Singh said – In 2013, a car coming from the wrong side hit me. At that time, my hand was broken and it was my brother Arjun who saved me. My brother had taken care of me completely. Today I could not save my brother.
