CBI Court in Hyderabad Receives Bomb Threat Again

Hyderabad: The CBI Special Court here received a bomb threat yet again on 20 February 2026, prompting a security lockdown and thorough checks of the premises by law enforcement agencies.

This is the second such threat in a short span, exacerbating concerns about court security and prompting intensified investigation by police and bomb disposal units.

Security Response and Evacuation

After the threat message was received, court officials and police evacuated staff, lawyers and visitors from the complex as a precaution. Bomb detection teams and canine units were deployed to sweep buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds.

So far, no suspicious device or explosive material has been found during searches, and proceedings were temporarily suspended pending clearance.

 Ongoing Investigation

Law enforcement agencies are analyzing the source of the threat, including digital forensics and message tracing, to identify and apprehend those responsible. The CBI and local police are coordinating on the probe.

Officials have also reviewed CCTV footage and are questioning witnesses to gather further evidence and determine whether the bomb threats are hoaxes or credible attempts to disrupt judicial work.
