Dussehra festival celebrated with great pomp across the country, PM and President burnt Ravana at Red Fort, Punjab CM Mann burnt the effigy of evils in Amritsar

New Delhi: Dussehra is being celebrated across the country today. New Delhi: Dussehra is being celebrated across the country today. President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Ramlila at Red Fort in Delhi.

Both of them burnt Ravana by shooting symbolic arrows.

Before this, the Prime Minister and the President applied tilak to the artists playing the roles of Ram-Lakshman and Hanuman.

This Ramlila being held in Madhav Das Park of Red Fort is organised by Shri Dharmik Leela Committee. The committee members gave a trident to President Murmu and a mace to PM Modi.

At the Punjab State level, the Dussehra Festival is celebrated at Shree Durgiana Teerath Amritsar. Punjab Chief Minister CM Bhagwant Mann burned the effigy evils (Ravan) In Durgiana Teerath Amritsar.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Darjeeling, West Bengal to celebrate the festival with the soldiers. The Defence Minister first worshipped the weapons at Sukna Cantt. Later, he applied tilak to the soldiers present there.

An accident was averted in Kota during the preparations for Ravana Dahan. While erecting the effigy of Ravana on Friday evening, it broke and fell from the crane. It was re-erected by 10:30 am on Saturday.

It is raining in many parts of the country right now. Due to rain in Udaipur, Rajasthan, the effigies of Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhakarna were made to wear raincoats.
