Olympic Shooter Manu Bhaker paid obeisance at Sri devi Talab Temple, watched retreat ceremony at Attari

Jalandhar: Manu Bhaker, who won two bronze medals in shooting at the Olympic Games, visited the Siddha Shakti Peeth Shri Devi Talab Mandir in Jalandhar on Saturday evening. She paid her respects and received blessings at the temple. Afterwards, she took photos and interacted with people. Manu shared the photo from the temple visit on.

Manu shared the photo from the temple visit on her social media account. Hailing from Jhajjar, Manu expressed that it was her first time experiencing the fortune of visiting such a renowned temple in Punjab after winning two bronze medals at the Paris Olympics. After Jalandhar, she also visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar, finding solace in the visit. Manu advised the youth to set goals and work hard towards achieving them, while also emphasizing the role of faith in guiding one towards their goals.

Before arriving in Jalandhar, Manu also enjoyed the Retreat Ceremony at Wagah Border in Attari, Amritsar yesterday evening. During this event, she also expressed her appreciation for the BSF jawans participating in the ceremony. The BSF officers greeted her. After the Retreat Ceremony, Manu Bhaker mentioned, “I have come to Punjab for the first time and I had heard a lot about the Wagah Border in Amritsar, where the India-Pakistan border meets.”

BSF officers said that Olympian and two-time medalist Manu Bhakar graced Attari today, where she was honored by Dr. Atul Fulzele, IPS, and senior BSF officers. The ace shooter not only witnessed the iconic Retreat Ceremony but also spent time engaging with the troops.

Acclaimed actress Sai Pallavi  also visited Attari further adding to the glitter of the momentous occasion. Both youth icons expressed their deep admiration for the ceremony and commended BSF for their unwavering dedication in protecting the sanctity of nation’s borders.
