New Delhi: The Centre has cleared multiple judicial appointments across five High Courts following recommendations from the Supreme Court Collegium.

Andhra Pradesh High Court

Additional judges Justice Harinath Nunepally, Justice Kiranmayee Mandava @ Kiranmayee Kanaparthy, Justice Sumathi Jagadam, and Justice Nyapathy Vijay have been elevated as permanent judges.

Calcutta High Court

Justices Partha Sarathi Sen and Apurba Sinha Ray have been appointed as permanent judges, while the terms of seven additional judges—Justices Biswaroop Chowdhury, Prasenjit Biswas, Uday Kumar, Ajay Kumar Gupta, Supratim Bhattacharya, Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, and Md. Shabbar Rashidi—have been extended by one year.

Chhattisgarh and Delhi High Courts

Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal has been appointed as a permanent judge in the Chhattisgarh High Court. Judicial officer Vimal Kumar Yadav has been appointed as a judge of the Delhi High Court, effective from the date he assumes office.

Karnataka High Court

Justice Gurusiddaiah Basavaraja, currently an additional judge, has been appointed as a permanent judge in the Karnataka High Court.

The appointments were formalised through notifications issued by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice under Article 217(1) of the Constitution of India.
