Centre grants Z security to Raghav Chadha as Punjab withdraws security cover

New Delhi: The Home Ministry has granted security cover to Raghav Chadha. According to sources, he will be provided Z category security in both Delhi and Punjab.

Punjab government withdraws security

This decision comes after the Punjab government withdrew Chadha’s security earlier day. This development comes amid growing differences within the Aam Aadmi Party.

Decision based on threat assessment

According to sources, paramilitary forces will be deployed to protect Chadha.

This security cover has been provided based on a report from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and a threat assessment conducted by the Home Ministry.

Party Changes and Leadership Reshuffle

Several changes have taken place within the party in recent days. On April 2, AAP appointed Ashok Mittal as the new deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, removing Chadha from that position.

Chadha’s Response and Speculation

On April 3, Chadha responded by saying that he had been “silenced, not defeated.”

Following this, an Instagram post of his on April 8 generated discussion, in which a supporter advised him to form a new youth-based party.

On April 10, amid ongoing differences within the party, Chadha shared a video on Instagram, saying that his parliamentary work would define him.

He wrote, “Those who are questioning my parliamentary performance will find answers through my work.”
