The Chandigarh administration has announced a government holiday tomorrow, June 18 (Thursday). This decision has been taken on the occasion of the martyrdom day of Shri Guru Arjun Dev Ji. The administration’s Home Department issued an official notification regarding this on Wednesday.

It was earlier a restricted holiday

According to the issued notification, this day was earlier declared a restricted holiday in the Chandigarh administration’s calendar year 2026. Now, partially amending the old order, it has been declared a full public holiday.

There will be a holiday in these places.

The order issued by the administration says that during this time, government offices, boards and corporations, government institutions, and industrial establishments will remain completely closed. This order has been issued by Home Secretary Diprava Lakra.
