    Lawyer Shoots Woman During House Possession in Chandigarh, Firing Took Place in Presence of Police

    Chandigarh: A woman was allegedly shot by a lawyer during a court-ordered house possession process in Chandigarh’s Sector 42 on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around 1 pm near the Government Girls College, sending shockwaves through the area.

    The victim, identified as Manvinder Kaur, had reached the property to take possession of the house following a court order. Police personnel were present at the spot to assist in the execution of the court’s directions when the firing took place.

    Lawyer Allegedly Opened Fire with Licensed Revolver

    According to preliminary information, the accused lawyer, who was allegedly occupying the property, opened fire on Manvinder Kaur using a licensed revolver during the possession proceedings.

    The woman sustained a gunshot injury and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her condition has not yet been officially disclosed.
