Political Storm Erupts Over Chandrashekhar’s Lucknow Speech

Lucknow, April 13: “Mr. Gandhi made Muslims swear an oath with their hands placed upon the Quran that they would not support Babasaheb. However, our Muslim brothers did not do so; instead, they stood firmly by Babasaheb’s side. Babasaheb stood up for the marginalised.”

These remarks were made by Chandrashekhar, the MP from Nagina, during his visit to Lucknow. On Monday, the Azad Samaj Party organised a ‘Backward Classes Rights Conference’ at the Atal Convention Centre in the city. Candidates involved in the recruitment drive for 69,000 teachers from across the state were also present at the event.

Chandrashekhar stated: “Just uttering the name of Muslims gives an electric shock.”

MP Chandrashekhar remarked that merely mentioning the name of Muslims seems to give certain individuals an ‘electric shock.’ He observed, “The moment we brought up the subject of Muslims, some people reacted as if they had received a jolt. The day the problems faced by Muslims are finally resolved, many people’s ‘shops’ and their entire livelihoods and political agendas will be forced to shut down.”
