Jalandhar MP Charanjit Singh Channi extends Eid greetings, participates in prayer

In Jalandhar, the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations took place at the Eidgah on Gulab Devi Road. On this occasion, MP Charanjit Channi embraced members of the Muslim community and extended his greetings. Channi remarked that Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated today to mark the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Channi stated, “I have come here to extend my congratulations to the entire Muslim community.” “May Allah Almighty grant that the next government is formed by the Congress party. If the Congress comes to power, we will undertake the construction of mosques in Jalandhar modeled after those in Malerkotla. The Eidgahs in Jalandhar will also be beautified and made magnificent.”

On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Channi joined the Muslim community in offering prayers and appeared dressed in traditional Muslim attire. Channi observed that today is a sacred festival. “Punjab has always been a peace-loving state, and today I pray to Allah Almighty that this peace and harmony continue to be preserved in this manner.”

BJP leader and former MP Rinku, along with Congress District President Rajinder Beri, were also present at the event.

During the proceedings, MP Channi appealed to the Muslim community to maintain unity and solidarity. Former MP Sushil Kumar Rinku, District President Rajinder Beri, and Constituency In-charge Iqbal Singh Dhindsa also arrived to meet with the Muslim community and convey their Eid greetings.

MP Channi stated that this day is celebrated in remembrance of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim’s act of offering to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command an act that exemplifies his unwavering devotion to the Almighty.
