T20 WC: Chawla Backs Agarwal, Says No Worry Over Form

Veteran Indian spinner Piyush Chawla has defended opening batter Abhishek Agarwal, saying there is “nothing to worry” about his recent lack of big scores ahead of the T20 World Cup. Chawla, who played with Agarwal for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL, expressed confidence in the young batsman’s ability to perform at the highest level.

“Form is temporary; class is permanent,” the seasoned campaigner said, adding that a few low scores do not define a player’s capability, especially when they have demonstrated performance potential repeatedly in domestic and franchise cricket.
