Ajmer, April 12: A mini-truck loaded with chemicals suddenly caught fire in Ajmer. In a matter of moments, the stationary truck turned into a blazing fireball. The driver, who was having tea at a nearby restaurant, immediately rushed to the scene, started the burning vehicle, and drove it to an open space approximately 100 meters away from the residential area. Consequently, no casualties were reported. The incident occurred at 10:00 AM on Saturday in Kanakhedi, within the jurisdiction of the Srinagar Police Station.

Station House Officer (SHO) Parul Yadav stated that the police reached the spot upon receiving information about the fire in the chemical-laden truck. Fire brigade personnel managed to bring the blaze under control after battling it for nearly an hour. The truck was carrying drums of acid used in batteries. The fire was so intense that a massive plume of smoke became visible in the sky.

Driver’s Quick Action Prevents Major Disaster

Parul Yadav stated that a mini-truck, loaded with chemicals, had arrived from Mumbai and was heading towards Behror. It caught fire near Kanakhedi. The truck driver, Paresh Rawal, and his assistant (cleaner) had stopped at a restaurant to have tea.
