Himachal CM to Inaugurate Cheog Bypass Today, Public Rally Also Scheduled

Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will today inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for projects worth crores of rupees in Chiog and Dharech, located within the Kasumpti Assembly constituency. CM Sukhu will dedicate a newly constructed bridge built at a cost of approximately three crore rupees to the public at Chiog Market.

Dinesh Jagta, the former Pradhan (head) of Chiog Panchayat, stated that the construction of this bridge will provide relief from the daily traffic jams that plague the market. Apart from Theog and Kasumpti, a large number of vehicles from the Chaupal Assembly constituency also pass through this route daily. Consequently, hundreds of people in Chiog Market were forced to endure inconvenience on a daily basis.

CM Sukhu to also address a public meeting in Chiog Market

Dinesh informed that CM Sukhu will dedicate this bridge to the public today. He described it as a significant gift for the Chiog region and expressed his gratitude to the government. CM Sukhu is also scheduled to address a public meeting in Chiog Market.

It is worth noting that the foundation stone for the Chiog Bypass was laid by former CM Virbhadra Singh in 2017. The bridge has now been completed and is ready for use.

Sukhu to visit Dharech Temple first

Before proceeding to Chiog, CM Sukhu will visit the Dharech Temple to offer prayers at the Jai Ishwari Mata Temple. Subsequently, he will inaugurate a 500-kilowatt solar power plant in Dharech. During this visit, he will also lay the foundation stones for the Panchayat Community Center in Dharech, the road connecting Chanthag to Manda, the road from Kyar Nala to Sharog, and the road from Nahog to Kanashi.

Prior to this, he will welcome President Droupadi Murmu

Earlier in the day, CM Sukhu will welcome President Droupadi Murmu. Following the reception of the President, the Chief Minister will proceed to Dharech and Chiog. During this time, the local MLA and Minister of Panchayati Raj, Anirudh Singh, will also be present with him.
