Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu meets Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, discussion on various issues

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu paid a courtesy call on Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday morning. During the meeting, the two discussed various issues concerning the state. The Chief Minister then laid the foundation stone for Himachal Haat, an initiative of Him-Era, near the Shimla Lift Parking lot.

Speaking to reporters, Chief Minister Sukhu stated that for the first time, food vans have been made available to women under Him-Era. He added that 60 more vans will be made available to women this year. He added that following the Delhi incident, officials in the state have been instructed to take security precautions. Sukhu stated that a celebration will be held on December 11th to mark the completion of the state government’s three-year term.

The current government earned ₹600 crore in one year from the auction of liquor contracts, while the previous BJP government earned ₹400 crore in four years. Sukhu stated that Leader of the Opposition Jairam Thakur is under stress and issues statements daily because the BJP is divided into five factions. Jairam Thakur expressed his dismay at the sloganeering in support of Anurag Thakur in Mandi.

Therefore, we are now holding rallies in Anurag’s home constituency. There is considerable tension among the five factions of the BJP, including the Anurag faction, the Nadda faction, the Jairam faction, the Sick faction, and the Dhawa faction. The BJP tried to buy democracy, but with the blessings of the people, we have restored our seats to 40.

CM Sukhu also paid tribute to the great freedom fighter, educationist, and former Congress President, Madan Mohan Malaviya, on his death anniversary. The CM said that Malaviya dedicated his entire life to the bright future of the country’s youth. The Himachal government is continuously striving to create an educated, aware, and responsible society by adopting his ideals.
