Child Killed After Iron Angle Falls While Playing Outside Factory in Panipat

A 6-year-old boy died after an iron angle fell on him in Haryana’s Panipat. The child was swinging at an angle placed outside the factory. On the basis of the complaint, the old industrial police station has registered a case of negligence against the factory owner.

A CCTV footage of this accident has also surfaced. The footage shows the child hanging on an iron angle. That’s when the angle suddenly falls and the baby is buried under it.

Raghunath, originally a resident of Mubarakpur village in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh, told the police that he currently lives in Shravan Wali factory in Saundapur, Panipat. His six-year-old son Siddharth was playing in the street outside the house at around 4 pm on June 26. While playing, he climbed over a heavy iron angle illegally placed in the street.

Severe head injuries

Raghunath further said- During this time, the angle fell on him due to sudden loss of balance. The heavy angle hit his head and other parts of his body, seriously injuring him. After the accident, the family and people around took Siddharth to Sarla Devi Multi Speciality Hospital in Karnal for treatment.

Siddharth died during treatment

The doctors there tried their best to save him, but he died during treatment due to severe head injury and excessive bleeding. The factory owner, Shravan, had carelessly placed a heavy iron angle in the street, due to which his son lost his life.

Case registered against factory owner

On June 27, the old industrial police station received information about Siddhartha’s death from the hospital. After this, on the basis of the complaint and other documents, a case was registered against the factory owner under Section 106(1) (death by negligence) of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS) and an investigation was started.
