Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Friday blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for an alleged attack on CJP members during their visit to inspect a government school in Rajasthan.
Dipke described the incident as “hooliganism” and alleged that CJP volunteers were attacked while visiting a government school in Rampura-Kanwarpura village to assess its condition.
CJP alleges attack during school inspection
CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka, who was part of the visiting team, alleged that the activists had gone to the village under the organisation’s nationwide ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign to assess the condition of a government school.
According to Ranka, the school has been functioning from a buffalo shed for several years.
Speaking to IANS, Dipke alleged that stones were pelted at the team, vehicles were attacked and women members were assaulted during the visit. He further alleged that BJP workers were involved in the attack.
These allegations have not been independently verified.
Dipke questions government over school conditions
Dipke questioned why the BJP government would object to the CJP team visiting the school and said the organisation’s objective was to highlight poor infrastructure and push for improvements.
He alleged that government schools face several problems, including inadequate water facilities and a shortage of teachers.
Dipke also claimed that his visits to government schools had revealed instances of outsiders entering school premises and engaging in activities such as smoking and consuming alcohol.
He questioned why objections were raised when people visited schools to highlight infrastructure problems and demanded better facilities for students.
CJP chief warns BJP of political backlash
Dipke alleged that the BJP was attempting to intimidate people from raising concerns and claimed that the party was “scared” after what he described as its shortcomings being exposed.
He said people would respond to such actions in upcoming elections and asserted that citizens had become more willing to raise their voices on issues affecting them.
Dipke maintained that CJP’s campaign was focused on improving government schools and said students deserved better educational facilities.
He questioned whether elected representatives were fulfilling their responsibility towards improving government schools and urged authorities to focus on providing better infrastructure and basic facilities to students.
