CJP to hold nationwide protests from October 2nd demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar

New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced a nationwide protest starting October 2nd demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The party’s national convener, Abhijeet Deepak, stated that if Kumar does not resign by September 26th, the organization will launch its agitation.

Resignation ultimatum by September 26th

Abhijeet Deepak has given the Chief Election Commissioner a 48-hour ultimatum demanding his resignation. He stated that if the resignation is not accepted by the deadline, protests will be held nationwide starting October 2nd.

According to the CJP, the agitation will begin in Mumbai on Gandhi Jayanti and will then expand to other cities across the country.

Questions also raised regarding SIR

This announcement by the CJP comes amid the ongoing debate regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The organization has raised questions about the voter list revision process and demanded an independent investigation into the matter.

However, these are allegations and demands made by the CJP. They have not been accepted as established facts. The Election Commission, meanwhile, has described the decisions related to SIR as unanimous decisions.

Proposed agitation to begin on October 2nd

According to Deepak, if their demands are not met, the agitation will begin in Mumbai on October 2nd. There are plans to expand the protests to other cities after that.

The CJP has also launched the “Election Commission Thik Karo” campaign regarding the functioning of the Election Commission. The organization’s next course of action will be clear after the deadline of September 26th.
