New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Monday welcomed the Supreme Court’s latest order, calling it “yet another major victory for the youth”, and urged the Centre and all BJP/NDA-ruled states to immediately implement the assurances made to students and young protesters on July 25.

The party said that with the Supreme Court having removed the confusion surrounding the matter, the government should now honour its commitments “in both letter and spirit.”

CJP says youth kept their promise

In a statement, the party said the youth of the country had fulfilled their commitment and it was now the government’s responsibility to deliver on the assurances made to them.

“The youth of this country honoured their word. It is now time for the Government to honour its own immediately,” the statement read.

Party reiterates support for students and protesters

CJP said it has stood by students and protesters since the beginning of the movement, providing legal assistance, medical support and every other form of help within its means.

The party also thanked lawyers across the country for continuing to provide legal support to those involved in the protests.

Monitoring developments, in touch with Centre

The party said it is closely monitoring developments across various states and remains in constant dialogue with senior representatives of the Union government.

CJP expressed hope that the assurances announced on July 25 would now be implemented without delay and in their true spirit.
