The past three months have been months of sacred religious pilgrimages. In India, people reaching old age often attach great importance to the Char Dham Yatra to free themselves from the cycle of life. For the past two years, the triangular circumambulation of three temples in Vindhyachal has also begun. During the Ardha Kumbh Mela next year, people bathe and pray for the absolution of their sins. The most famous is the Char Dham Yatra, which includes visits to Badrinath and Kedarnath. Rishi Prasad Sati, Vice President of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, stated that after the traditional Vijayadashami rituals, they have determined the auspicious time to close the doors of the temples for the winter season. The doors of these temples will be closed on November 16th at 9:37 pm. Like every year, this year too devotees offered flowers of respect at these temples. Religious tourists reached the temples despite the difficult weather. This year, Badrinath received the highest number of tourists at 20.69 lakh. Reaching Kedarnath is a little difficult, but still 17.65 lakh devotees were recorded there. The auspicious time for closing the doors was determined by calculating the almanac in the presence of Badrinath Dham priest Rawal Amarnath and Vedapathis. He said that since we believe in the living presence of God in the temples, therefore the festive palanquin of Lord Badrinath will leave for its winter residence on November 17. The Chardham of the Himalayas includes Gangotri and Yamunotri besides Badrinath and Kedarnath. The closing of the doors is calculated keeping Diwali in mind, so the doors of Gangotri will close on the Annakut festival on November 10th, the day after Diwali. After this, the doors of Kedarnath will close on November 11th. According to the Pancham Ganatantra, the doors of the Yamunotri temple will close on November 11th at 10:28 am. It should be recalled that the Chardham Yatra began on April 19th this year. Devotees across the country are committed to completing the Chardham Yatra. Now, when the doors close in the middle of next month, devotees will pledge to undertake the pilgrimage after mid-April next year. From an economic perspective, religious tourism in these areas and the increasing number of tourists each year play a crucial role in their development. The region of Uttarakhand, home to these sacred sites of the Mukti Yatra, has rapidly progressed from backwardness to commercial progress, which has also boosted the state’s economic development.
