CM Bhagwant Mann to launch Mawan Dhiyan satkar Yojna today, Monthly honorarium from July onwards

On the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is set to visit Jalandhar. Here, he will participate in a state-level event in Adampur on the occasion of BR Ambedkar Jayanti.

During the event, the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will officially launch the “Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana”. It is a welfare initiative aimed at providing financial support to women above a certain age across the state.

According to official preliminary details, the registration process under the scheme will start from April 15, i.e., tomorrow. First, the scheme will be launched on a pilot basis in nine constituencies. This includes Adampur, Malout, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Dirba, Sunam, Moga, Kotkapura, Batala, and Patiala Rural.

After the pilot phase, the registration drive will be expanded to the remaining 108 constituencies of the state from May 15.

Let us tell you that under this scheme, beneficiaries will begin receiving a monthly honorarium ranging between ₹1000 and ₹1500 from July onwards.

As per the Punjab government, General category women will get Rs 1,000 per month, whereas Scheduled Caste (SC) women will get Rs 1,500 per month.

Authorities have clarified that applicants must possess a Punjab Aadhaar card, voter ID card, and a bank passbook at the time of registration to avail the benefits. The initiative is being seen as a significant step by the state government towards social welfare and empowerment of women across Punjab.
