CM Sukhu seeks information about relief work in flood affected areas, did aerial survey in Chamba

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reached Pathankot from Delhi on Saturday morning, from where he left for the Chamba district. On reaching Pathankot, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Hemraj Bairwa and Superintendent of Police Ashok Ratan gave him detailed information about the damage caused by heavy rains in the district and the relief work.

Recently, due to excessive water released from Pong Dam, flood-like conditions have arisen in Fatehpur and Indora assembly constituencies.

In view of the seriousness of the situation, NDRF teams along with the local administration are engaged in relief and rescue operations and the affected people are being taken to safe places.

The Chief Minister took information about the relief work going on in the flood-affected areas and directed the officials to ensure all possible assistance. After this, he left for the Chamba district.

The CM will conduct an aerial survey of the terrible devastation caused by heavy rains in Mani Mahesh, Bharmour, and Chamba and hold a meeting with the district administration.

Our topmost priority is the swift restoration of basic facilities in the affected areas and ensuring that essential items reach those in need on time.
