Chohla Sahib: Congress leader attacked on Diwali as bike-borne assailants open fire

On Diwali day, an atmosphere of terror was created in the town of Chohla Sahib when unidentified masked assailants opened fire on Bhupinder Kumar Nayyar, the president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Party Block Chohla Sahib. The incident is said to have taken place at 10:30 am yesterday.

According to the information received, two assailants had come on a motorcycle and opened fire with the intention of killing Bhupinder Kumar Nayyar. However, he narrowly escaped in this attack.

It is being told that the block president of the Congress Party, Bhupinder Kumar Nayyar, who is also the president of Krishna Gaushala Chohla Sahib, was sitting at his shop in the morning when two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle, one of whom was in the possession of a Nihang Singh. They first came outside the shop, and one of the two started firing.

The masked accused tried to shoot Congress leader Bhupinder Kumar Nayyar, who was sitting at the shop, with a pistol, but after the shot missed, he fled the scene with another accomplice on a motorcycle.
