Congress Sets Up National SC Advisory Council: Channi Ranked 9th, Verka 36th

Jalandhar: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has formed an advisory council for the Scheduled Caste Department. Many senior leaders have been included in this list released after the approval of the Congress President.

Former Chief Minister and MP Charanjit Singh Channi and former minister Rajkumar Verka have also got a place in it. In the released list, Channi’s name is at 9th place and Verka’s name is at 36th place. There is enthusiasm in Punjab Congress about this responsibility.

Congress says that the purpose of this council is to protect the interests of the Scheduled Caste community and to strongly raise their issues at the national level. This council will directly give advice and suggestions to the Congress leadership.
