Constable Dies by Suicide at DIG Range Office in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: A soldier posted at the DIG Range office in Ludhiana shot himself in the head while on duty on Tuesday. He died on the spot. The incident occurred at the DIG Range on Rani Jhansi Road in Ludhiana, where he was on duty. The deceased has been identified as Tirth Singh, 50 years old. He was on duty at MSK. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and investigated the matter. His body was taken into custody and sent for a postmortem.

According to the police, soldier Tirth Singh was on duty late at night. He was shot under suspicious circumstances around 3 am on Tuesday. The bullet struck his head, killing him on the spot. According to the police, the deceased, Tirth Singh, had three children: a boy and two girls. All three children currently live in Canada. The family has been informed of the incident.
