Shimla: Actress and BJP Member of Parliament (MP) from Mandi Loksabha seat, Kangana Ranaut, recently made a statement in Manali alleging that the Himachal government takes loans and hands them over to Sonia Gandhi. This statement has caused outrage within the Congress party.

Himachal Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi and PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh have openly criticized Kangana Ranaut for her remarks. Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi launched a scathing attack on Kangana, stating that the things she says are so outrageous that even an illiterate person wouldn’t say such things.

In response to Kangana’s statement about the Himachal government giving loan amounts to Sonia Gandhi, Jagat Negi expressed his embarrassment, stating that because of Kangana, the state has become a laughing stock in the country. He added that people from other states must be wondering what kind of MP they have elected who lacks understanding.

He said that Kangana is now an MP and should give statements after careful consideration. This implies that we made a big mistake by electing her as our MP. It’s regrettable that the voters of Mandi elected Kangana to represent them in the largest democracy of India, only for her to continue making controversial statements.

PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh also criticized Kangana Ranaut, calling her less educated. Congress State President Pratibha Singh and former State President Kaul Singh Thakur also targeted Kangana. Vikramaditya mentioned that he will file a defamation case against Kangana if she doesn’t provide proof of her claims regarding giving money to Sonia Gandhi and issue an apology.

Jagat Negi stated that the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, attended a program at the Chief Justice of India’s house. This visit raises concerns about the state of democracy. Negi believes that Modi has undermined the institutions that safeguard democracy, leading to a loss of faith in justice among the people.

Negi also noted that no previous Prime Minister has ever visited the house of the Chief Justice. Negi criticized Modi for adapting to the local culture and politics of different regions when he visits them.

He also pointed out the irony of the BJP talking about providing financial assistance to women in Haryana while criticizing the Congress for doing the same in Himachal. Furthermore, Negi expressed his belief that democracy has weakened during Modi’s tenure, and he highlighted the issue of rising inflation.
