Court reprimands Bikram Majithia for defamatory comments against CM’s OSD Rajbir Singh

Chandigarh: In a significant ruling, the Hon’ble Court has granted an ad-interim injunction in favor of Rajbir Singh, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, restraining Bikram Singh Majithia from disseminating defamatory statements on all public platforms. The Court issued a stay against Bikram Majithia’s defamatory statements targeting CM Mann’s OSD.

The court’s decision comes in response to a civil suit filed by Rajbir Singh, which highlighted the issuance of false and unverified claims by Bikram Singh Majithia and others. These statements have reportedly caused considerable damage to Singh’s reputation.

The court recognized the prima facie case presented by Rajbir Singh, asserting that the continued publication of these statements would undermine the purpose of the legal action. As part of the ruling, the court ordered Majithia and others to cease all defamatory activity with immediate effect.
