Assailants open fire multiple shots outside NRI’s residence in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: Panic gripped the residents of BRS Nagar in Ludhiana during wee hours after some assailants turned up in a car and opened fire multiple shots outside NRI’s residence. According to the police, the incident occurred in Satguru Nagar of BRS Nagar at around 3am on Thursday when some assailants turned up in white colour.

According to the police, the incident occurred in Satguru Nagar of BRS Nagar at around 3am on Thursday when some assailants turned up in white colour Baleno car and opened fire shots. The police have procured a footage of CCTV camera in which the assailants are captured firing shots while sitting within the car.

Fortunately, no one injured in the incident, all bullets hit the boundary wall of the house.

Empty shells recovered from outside the house

It has been learnt that NRI Rajdeep had returned to India from Australia around 15 days ago. However, the reason behind the incident is yet not ascertained.

Inspector Pawan Kumar, SHO, Sarabha Nagar police station, said that immediately after receiving the information the police reached the spot and initiated investigation. The police have procured a footage of CCTV camera and efforts are on to trace the accused.

SHO said that as the health condition of NRI’s father is not well, the family at present are not sharing much about the incident and as of now the reason behind the incident is not ascertained.

SHO added that during preliminary investigation it seems that there were around 3-4 persons in the car and the accused had fired around six shots targeting the NRI’s house.

Inspector said that the police are scanning the footage of all CCTV cameras, which are installed on highway as well and trying to track the movement of the accused.
