Ranchi The ED, which is investigating the Hemant Soren land scam, on Friday interrogated Revenue Sub Inspector of Badgai Zone Bhanu Pratap Prasad and Hemant Soren on remand. During this time, ED also interrogated architect Vinod Singh, close to Hemant Soren, throughout the day. ED got the WhatsApp chat done with the former CM verified from him and took information about it.
ED officials also took signatures on the documents of the said chat. ED has also taken account of Rs 25 lakh recovered from Vinod Singh’s hideout in the January 3 raid. It is said that ED officials are not satisfied with the arguments given by Vinod Singh regarding the source of money.
Why was Hemant Soren’s press advisor called to the office?
Abhishek Prasad alias Pintu, who was the press advisor to former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, also reached the ED office on Friday afternoon. Information has been received that ED had called him to extract his mobile data. He has not been interrogated. ED had called him to its office to cooperate in the investigation and to extract mobile data.
ED receives information regarding Bariatu’s 8.5 acres land
In the investigation so far, ED has received a lot of information regarding Bariatu’s 8.5 acres of land. Bhanu Pratap Prasad, the then Revenue Sub-Inspector of Bargain, used to tamper with the original land documents in collaboration with fraudsters. ED is keeping an eye on those who directly or indirectly helped Bhanu Pratap Prasad. ED is also collecting information from him about movable and immovable properties acquired in the name of Hemant Soren and his family members.
